There were 2 decent size groups, with about 12 or so in each. Out the road, turn right at the sheds, into Dunsany, across the main road, over to Dorey’s, left at the top and in to finish. We had a gap of 3.15, it was very windy, mostly head but some cross – we only got a tail in the last 3 or 4 miles. Scratch only caught us with about 2 miles to go, Anto led out the sprint, Eugene got his wheel and came past with Ger Madden and Karl Gallagher, I couldn’t get on but held on for 5th. Eugene sprinted irregularly but there was no protest so result stands. - John Moran (Ravens)
